Registration is closed

Do  you have questions about what is meant by Sustainable Materials Management, Resource Management, Resource Efficiency, Circular Economy, Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) and Zero Waste? Do you want to know how those could help recyclers get your job done better?  Do you have suggestions of what products should be redesigned so they are easier to disassemble, reuse, recycle or compost?  Would you like to suggest policies and programs that should be pursued nationally to help you work with businesses and colleges to research and develop best practices in these areas?

The National Recycling Coalition (NRC) has organized this Sustainable Materials Management (SMM) Dialog for you to do just that.  We have arranged for several leaders in the field to provide background information on these topics, followed by a dialog for the 2nd hour on questions and suggestions you have.

Speakers

- Gary Liss, Co-Chair, NRC SMM Committee highlighting NRC SMM Strategy and Moderator

- Cheryl Coleman, USEPA addressing what SMM and Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) are.

- Katie Wallace, New Belgium Brewing Co. as a model SMM Business leader addressing what they are doing on sustainability in general, SMM, LCAs, Resource Management, Resource Efficiency, Circular Economy and Zero Waste.

- Gloria Hardegree, Georgia Recycling Coalition on the need to get Recyclers+ (reuse, recycling, composting and related professionals) at the table with manufacturers and product designers to redesign products and packaging.
